====== Dynamic Observing Scripts ======

The following scripts and files are required to make dynamic observing work. They are available for download here (updated 02/12/2016):

By default, the scripts should be downloaded from the oper account on your PCFS and unpacked in the home directory:

tar xzvf dysched_scripts.tar.gz

This will create a directory called dysched with three scripts and a text file. Some configuration is required before they will run. Follow the links below for notes on configuration.

  * [[development:dynamicobserving:dysched|dysched.pl]], a script to manage dynamic scheduling observations.
  * [[development:dynamicobserving:ds_redbutton.pl|ds_redbutton.pl]], a program to allow local users to join or leave the dynamic observing observations at any time
  * [[development:dynamicobserving:DynamicSnap.sh|DynamicSnap.sh]], a script called by dysched.pl that runs Drudge on the retrieved schedule and appends it to the schedule that is currently running.
  * [[development:dynamicobserving:override|override.txt]], a file needed by [[development:dynamicobserving:ds_redbutton.pl|ds_redbutton.pl]] to track the override status.
