PCFS Servers
Hardware
CPU: Core2Duo E7200 2.53GHz (2 cores)
RAM: 1GB
OS: Debian 5.0.7 32-bit (FS supported platform)
User Accounts: oper, prog
Purpose: Running the FS at the antenna site.
Backup: RAID mirror. 3 Disks.
If HDD failure: Check that spare disk has been correctly added to the mirror and synchronised. Determine which physical disk has failed. If someone local, turn machine off, extract failed disk, and insert replacement.
Ops Servers
CPU: Intel Xeon E5410 2.33GHz (4 cores + Hyperthreading)
RAM: 3GB
OS: Debian 5.0 64-bit (Ubuntu)
User Accounts: observer
Purpose: General Ops at Utas. oMonica archiving etc.
Backup: RAID mirror. 3 Disks.
If HDD failure: Check that spare disk has been correctly added to the mirror and synchronised. Determine which physical disk has failed. If someone local, turn machine off, extract failed disk, and insert replacement.
Mirroring: There is not currently any fail-over between the two ops servers, as there is only one ethernet port in the server room.
