Starting HMI

HMI can be started from the Desktop of the timing PC at the site in question. Start a VNC viewer session first from the Applications menu on ops4.

Look for a shortcut to the HMI program on the Desktop and double-click on it. The interface should appear. Then tick the box next to “Enable” in the lower right corner:

HMI Installation

Binaries are available from Mark Godwin. Place the software in a convenient place on a windows PC, e.g C:\Documents and Settings\Astro\My Documents\HMI

The ActiveX control library thinggy needs to be registered:

cd C:\Documents and Settings\Astro\My Documents\HMI
regsvr32 Asmbtcp.OCX

You should get a message saying it was successful

Edit the settings file “SETTINGS UoT 12m ANTENNAS V1” (with wordpad) and change the IPAddress and AntennaName if needed.

Run HMI. If it doesn't start you may need to install the .NET framework from Microsoft
