Hb pointing check

Feb 21, prior to R1471, checked pointing on 1921-293. Offsets were:
xEl : -0.01 deg
El : -0.015 deg

Sources was at Az, El = -101, 33.6 at the time. Decided not to update pointing model based on these small offsets

Hb pointing model

Updated at 03.10 UT with 0.2167 deg DC offset in Elevation (0.05 deg more than last time) following tightening up of elevation encoder mounting bracket. More notes in the Antenna Pointing Solutions section.

New Server Names

All users please note that the server which has been used to control the HB experiments has been renamed from pcfsya to pcfshb.

All other operations should be unchanged.

SML01 control

The fs-based control of the SML01 over the GPIB bus has been implemented.
The created functions are:

  • smlclear: reset the device.
  • smlstat: report on the current frequency, power level, and rf on/off status.
  • smlfreq: set a frequency (in MHz).
  • smlpow: set a power level (in dBm).
  • smlrf: turn the output on or off.

To clear the device, then set it to 1.0387GHz, -12dBm, with the RF on, this would look like:

smlclear
smlfreq=1038.7
smlpow=-12
smlrf=on
smlstat

With the fs output:

22:45:47&smlclear/hpib=sm,*rst
